Accept payments on Stellar
Cosmos Pay turns each payment into a SEP-7 link and QR code. Your customer pays from their own Stellar wallet, and the money goes straight to your address.

How a payment works on Stellar
- Payment link
- SEP-7 links (web+stellar:pay) and their QR code. A payment from one known account can carry a prepared transaction instead (web+stellar:tx).
- Wallets that pay
- Any wallet that opens SEP-7 links. The hosted checkout can also open the payment in the Cosmos Pay Wallet extension or its web wallet.

LOBSTR
xBull
Albedo
Rabet
- How it is matched
- The memo on the link, a numeric MEMO_ID. A wallet that opens the link adds it; a payment sent by hand needs it too.
- Where the money goes
- Straight to your Stellar address once the network confirms the payment: about 5 seconds.
- Test network
- Stellar Testnet with a test key (dv_); the public network with a live key (prod_).
Assets with a preset
The dashboard offers these by name. Any other Stellar asset goes by its code and issuer.

Create a Stellar payment link
One request to the Payments API with your secret API key. The response carries the payment link (uri), its QR code and the id of its hosted checkout.
curl https://api.cosmospay.lat/cosmos-api/v1/payment-intents/pay \ -H "Authorization: Bearer $COSMOS_PAY_API_KEY" \ -H "Content-Type: application/json" \ -d '{ "chain": "stellar", "destination": "G…YOUR_STELLAR_ACCOUNT", "amount": "25", "assetCode": "USDC", "assetIssuer": "GA5ZSEJYB37JRC5AVCIA5MOP4RHTM335X2KGX3IHOJAPP5RE34K4KZVN", "msg": "Order #1001" }'A test key (dv_) creates the link on Testnet: use the Testnet USDC issuer from the table above, or leave out assetCode and assetIssuer to charge in XLM.
Which wallets can pay a Stellar payment link?
Any wallet that opens SEP-7 links, such as Freighter, xBull, Rabet, LOBSTR, Albedo or Cosmos Pay Wallet, can pay a Cosmos Pay payment link on Stellar. The hosted checkout can also open the payment in the Cosmos Pay Wallet extension or its web wallet, and on a computer the customer can scan the QR code with a phone wallet. Your customer needs no account: their wallet pays the Stellar network fee, and the money goes straight to your Stellar address.
Why does a Stellar payment carry a memo?
Cosmos Pay matches each Stellar payment to its payment link by the link’s memo, a numeric MEMO_ID. A wallet that opens the SEP-7 link, from a tap or its QR code, adds the memo itself. A payment sent by hand needs the same memo: without it, Cosmos Pay cannot match the payment to its link. Once the network confirms a payment with the right memo, about 5 seconds on Stellar, the checkout turns to Paid and your webhook fires.
Can I charge in USDC or EURC on Stellar?
Yes. On Stellar’s public network, Cosmos Pay offers Circle’s USDC and EURC by name, next to XLM and Tether’s USDT0, and USDC has a preset on Stellar Testnet too. Any other Stellar asset goes by its code and issuer when you create the link. Your customer pays in the asset set on the link, and that same asset reaches your Stellar address once the network confirms the payment: about 5 seconds.
How do I test Stellar payments without real money?
Create a test API key (dv_) in the Cosmos Pay dashboard, or choose Sandbox there: payment links then run on Stellar Testnet, and their checkout says that no real funds move. Charge in Testnet USDC with its preset issuer, or in XLM, which Friendbot, the Testnet faucet, sends to a test account. A live key (prod_) then creates the same links on Stellar’s public network: the key decides the network, not the code.
Can I add my own fee to a Stellar payment?
Yes. Cosmos Pay can add your own fee to a Stellar payment, paid to a fee wallet you choose; it is separate from your plan’s rate, which each payment still pays. A SEP-7 payment link pays only one account, so a link with your fee asks the payer for their Stellar account and builds one prepared transaction (web+stellar:tx) that pays you and your fee wallet together. The payer approves that single transaction in their wallet.
Can the amount of a Stellar payment stay private?
Yes, with Cosmos Pay’s private payments: the network checks a zero-knowledge proof instead of reading the amount, so the amount stays private on-chain. They run on Stellar, on OpenZeppelin’s confidential token for Stellar, and are on Testnet for now; Solana and Monad payments do not offer them. A private payment costs 0.18% per transaction, the same on every plan.
