Accept payments on Monad
Cosmos Pay turns each payment into an EIP-681 link and QR code. Your customer pays from any EVM wallet, and a deposit address forwards it to yours.

How a payment works on Monad
- Payment link
- EIP-681 links (ethereum:) and their QR code, to an address made for that one payment.
- Wallets that pay
- Any EVM wallet that reads EIP-681 links. The customer can also send the exact amount by hand to the deposit address the checkout shows.
- How it is matched
- The payment’s own deposit address: each payment gets one.
- Where the money goes
- The deposit address forwards the payment to your Monad address, less the relay’s fee, which the API reports on the payment as networkFee.
- Test network
- Monad Testnet with a test key (dv_); mainnet with a live key (prod_).
Assets with a preset
The dashboard offers these by name. Any other ERC-20 token goes by its contract. Testnet has no USDC preset.
| Asset | Contract | Environment |
|---|---|---|
| MON | The network’s own coin | Mainnet |
| USDC | 0x754704bc059f8c67012fed69bc8a327a5aafb603 | Mainnet |
| MON | The network’s own coin | Testnet |
What it costs
Each payment pays your plan’s rate. The payer’s wallet pays the Monad network fee for its transfer, and the relay’s fee for forwarding it is deducted from the payment.

Create a Monad payment link
One request to the Payments API with your secret API key. The response carries the payment link (uri), its QR code and the id of its hosted checkout.
curl https://api.cosmospay.lat/cosmos-api/v1/payment-intents/pay \ -H "Authorization: Bearer $COSMOS_PAY_API_KEY" \ -H "Content-Type: application/json" \ -d '{ "chain": "monad", "destination": "0x…YOUR_MONAD_ADDRESS", "amount": "25", "assetCode": "USDC", "assetIssuer": "0x754704bc059f8c67012fed69bc8a327a5aafb603" }'Monad needs an amount and takes no wallet message. A test key (dv_) creates the link on Testnet, which has no USDC preset: leave out assetCode and assetIssuer to charge in MON.
Which wallets can pay a Monad payment link?
Any EVM wallet that reads EIP-681 links can pay a Cosmos Pay payment link on Monad. The link and its QR code point to a deposit address made for that one payment, and the customer can also send the exact amount by hand to the deposit address the checkout shows. The payer’s wallet pays the Monad network fee for its transfer, and the deposit address forwards the payment to your Monad address.
What is the deposit address on Monad?
Each Monad payment through Cosmos Pay gets its own deposit address, made for that one payment, and that address is how the payment is matched to its link. The deposit address can only forward the payment to your Monad address, less the relay’s fee for forwarding it, which the checkout shows and the API reports on the payment as networkFee. Cosmos Pay holds no key to it.
Why does a Monad payment link need an amount?
The amount is part of how Cosmos Pay recognises a Monad payment, sent to a deposit address made for it, so a Monad payment link needs an amount and the payer cannot choose it. A Monad link also carries no message for the wallet. To let customers choose the amount, as for donations, or to show a message such as an order number in their wallet, create the link on Stellar or Solana instead.
Which tokens can I charge in on Monad?
On Monad, Cosmos Pay offers MON, the network’s own coin, by name, and USDC on mainnet; any other ERC-20 token goes by its contract when you create the link. Monad Testnet has no USDC preset, so a test key (dv_) charges in MON there, or in a token you name by its contract. Your customer pays in the token set on the link, and the deposit address forwards it to your Monad address, less the relay’s fee.
Can I add my own fee to a Monad payment?
Yes. On Monad, the deposit address Cosmos Pay makes for each payment splits the payment between your Monad address and the fee wallet you choose. Your fee is separate from your plan’s rate, which each payment still pays. The relay’s fee for forwarding the payment is deducted from it, and the API reports that fee on the payment as networkFee.
