#### What is Cosmos Pay?

Cosmos Pay is a stablecoin payment gateway for businesses in Latin America. Create a payment link, a hosted checkout or a payment intent through the API; your customer pays from their own wallet on Stellar, Solana or Monad, and the funds settle to an address you control.

#### Do I need my own crypto wallet?

Yes. With Cosmos Pay, payments settle to an address you control on each network you accept: Stellar, Solana or Monad (on Monad, through a deposit address made for each payment, which can only forward it to yours). You add each wallet to your organization in the dashboard and prove it is yours with a signature, and payment links created there pay only into those wallets. Cosmos Pay never asks for a secret key and stores no one’s keys, so the funds are yours from the first payment and looking after the keys is up to you.

#### Do my customers need an account?

No. Your customers need no Cosmos Pay account, only a wallet on the payment’s network (Stellar, Solana or Monad) that holds the asset you charge in. They open the checkout, scan the QR code or tap their wallet’s button, and approve the payment in their wallet: there is nothing to sign up for. The checkout opens in their browser’s language when it is one of the seven it speaks (English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Hindi and Chinese), and their wallet pays the network fee.

#### Which wallets can my customers use?

Your customers pay a Cosmos Pay payment link from their own wallet, on the network the link settles on. On Stellar, any wallet that opens SEP-7 links, such as Freighter, xBull, Rabet, LOBSTR, Albedo or Cosmos Pay Wallet. On Solana, any wallet that reads Solana Pay links, such as Phantom or Solflare; on Monad, any EVM wallet that reads EIP-681 links. Every link also comes with a QR code, so on a computer the customer can scan it with a phone wallet.

#### Which currencies can I charge in?

USDC, EURC, the network’s own coin (XLM, SOL or MON) or any other token on Stellar, Solana or Monad, such as USDT on Solana: you name it by its issuer, mint or contract when you create the link. Your customer pays in that asset, and you receive that same asset.

#### Does Cosmos Pay hold my money?

No. On Stellar and Solana the payer pays your address directly. On Monad each payment goes to a deposit address made for it, which can only forward it to your address (less the relay’s fee): Cosmos Pay holds no key to it. Protected payments wait in a smart contract, not with Cosmos Pay, until they are released.

#### Can I offer this to my own customers?

Yes. Cosmos Pay is the payment gateway, payments, swaps and private payments as a service: we run the whole service, and you only set the wallet addresses that receive the money and sign with your wallet. Each operation pays your plan's rate, and you can add your own fee to it, paid to the wallet you choose.

#### How do protected payments work?

Your customer pays as usual, but the funds are held in a smart contract instead of reaching you immediately. Once delivery is confirmed, by your customer or by you depending on how you set up the payment, the funds are released to your wallet. You set a delivery deadline; if it passes, the payment goes to review or is refunded or released automatically, as you choose. Protected payments cost 1.95% per payment on top of your plan’s rate, and a refund is returned less the same fee.

#### What are private payments?

Private payments are Cosmos Pay payments whose amount stays private on-chain: the network checks a zero-knowledge proof instead of reading the amount. They run on Stellar, on OpenZeppelin’s confidential token for Stellar, and are available on testnet for now; Solana and Monad payments do not offer them. A private payment costs 0.18% per transaction, the same on every plan.

#### What happens when a link expires?

A Cosmos Pay payment link is open for a limited time, which its checkout shows as a countdown. Once that time passes, the checkout says the link has expired, stops asking for the payment and tells your customer to ask you for a new link, so create another one and send it. If a payment still arrives and the network confirms it, the link is marked as paid.

#### How do refunds work?

Cosmos Pay payments have no chargebacks: once the network (Stellar, Solana or Monad) confirms a payment, it is final. A refund is your decision: it is a new payment you send back from your wallet to your customer. A card payment, by contrast, can be disputed for months after the sale.

#### Can I try it without real money?

Yes. Choose Sandbox in the Cosmos Pay dashboard or create a test API key (it starts with dv_): payment links then run on Stellar Testnet, Solana Devnet and Monad Testnet, and their checkout says clearly that no real funds move. On Stellar Testnet you can charge in XLM, which Friendbot, the Testnet faucet, sends to a test account. When you are ready, a live key (prod_) runs the same requests on the main networks: the key decides the network, not the code.

#### Can I change how the checkout looks?

Yes. The Cosmos Pay hosted checkout comes in four designs, and you pick one for each payment link when you create it: Classic, one clean column with the amount, live status and QR code; Split, payment methods on a side rail with a countdown; Receipt, the payment fields with a receipt beside them; and Card, a large countdown and a payment card that carries the QR code. Every design is in seven languages, and no other site can frame the checkout pages.
